Rainy Friday, Sunny Weekend Ahead: North Texas Morning Weather

It's a mild December morning, with temperatures in the mid-50s, but get ready for things to get damp. Showers will move through the area most of the day, starting in the west and spreading east. Brace yourself for a rainy and dreary Friday.

Don't worry, though, the rain won't be a total downpour. Expect most of it to fall between mid-morning and midafternoon, with accumulations of only half an inch to an inch at most. No severe weather or flooding is expected, so just grab your umbrella and keep your chin up!

The good news? This wet spell will clear out by evening, and the weekend is looking fantastic! Saturday morning might start a little cloudy and damp, but things will quickly brighten up. Temperatures will be in the 50s and 60s, and that sunny trend is here to stay through at least Wednesday of next week. Enjoy the pleasant mix of clouds and sun until our next weather system arrives next weekend, but we'll have more details on that later.
