305. Ready for School: a mindful children’s story

Bobby School Bus is ready for school! As he practices his route Bobby, notices some big changes. What will the school bus do?

Ready for School Excerpt:

Summer vacation was nearly over. Bobby the school bus felt excited. Soon he would be back on his route and see the kids on his route. His driver opened the door and climbed in.

“Are you ready?” The driver asked the eager school bus. Bobby revved his engine in response. He was ready! “OK!” The bus driver said. And together they pulled out of the bus lot. Bobby got ready to turn left, but instead his driver turned the wheel to the right. The school bus felt surprised and a bit nervous. He had had the same route for years. Where were they going? The driver turned the worried bus down a street he had never been on before.

“We have a new route this year.” The driver said, as Bobby slowly turned down the unfamiliar road. “I thought it would be nice to have a change of scenery.”
