As business owners, we all know that there can be some real costs associated that we have to take into consideration from day to day, but in this episode, we’re flipping things around and talking about the real costs of NOT running a successful wedding photography business. Yes, you read that right. There are actual costs incurred when your wedding photography business isn’t as successful as you want it to be. We want you to get some really clear insight as to why it is important to pursue your goals and achieve the success that you want, so we’re breaking it down for you with the following four main costs that are incurred when your wedding photography business isn’t profitable. When you’re NOT booking weddings, you’re not making income. We all know that no or low income can have a huge impact on several different areas of your life. If you don’t make some changes, booked weddings aren’t going to magically appear in your schedule. How much is NOT booking weddings costing you? $5k? $10k? How would that income help your life Without a successful wedding photography business, you are NOT getting to do something you are truly passionate about. This isn’t about your financial health, this is about something much bigger than that. Are you stuck in a job that you hate just to get a paycheck to pay the bills? Being your own boss, allowing yourself a creative outlet, and working with amazing people in beautiful settings - those are all things that you are missing out on if you are NOT working in your dream business. Along those same lines, without a successful business, you are NOT able to make an impact on other people’s lives. As a wedding photographer, you are making memories and touching people’s lives in unique ways. The rewards are immense when you think about how many people you get to share happy moments with - the bride and groom, their family and friends, and even other wedding vendors. And finally, but definitely not less important than the others, if you are NOT running a successful wedding business, then you are missing out on the freedom to be your own boss, set your own schedule, and ultimately enjoy your life. The bottom line is that if you’re not in control of your own schedule or have the extra money that a business can provide, you are losing out. These four pillars are significant reasons to get your business off the ground, get motivated to get more leads, book more weddings, and achieve the success that you want and deserve.
