The Arizona State Sun Devils football program dropped its fourth-straight game this past Saturday against the #6 ranked USC Trojans football program in Los Angeles, 42-25. While usually, a loss like this would feel like a major setback for your program, it actually built more confidence than it destroyed. The Sun Devils entered this game as 25-point underdogs according to most odds books and there was nobody in the world who would've taken Arizona State to pull off a miracle. While they ultimately did not, they still managed to put together a remarkably closer game than anticipated. A 42-25 loss does not do justice to those who actually watched the game and witnessed an offense that had the most life and drive that it seemingly has had for the entire season. It appears that these kids weren't kidding about feeling rejuvenated and ready to prove the doubters wrong under interim coach Shaun Aguano. While the Sun Devils didn't put a complete effort on both sides of the ball, there was certainly a ton to feel good about. Even host Richie Bradshaw, a firm believer in a loss is a loss, feels this is a loss with a BIG moral victory to celebrate. Tune in to this edition of the Locked On Sun Devils podcast that is somehow upbeat even after a loss!
