After experiencing a traumatic and life-altering moment when he broke his neck and became paralyzed, Janne Kouri has dedicated his life to bettering the lives of people suffering from paralysis. Janne is a disability activist and an entrepreneur. He shares how he embraced his adversity from paralysis even when doctors told him that there’s no hope for recovery. By experiencing all the hardships of finding a rehab center for paralysis, plus the fact that insurance won’t go any farther to support you on your rehab and therapy, Janne created a plan and offers the best hospital-based rehab center in a community setting. He started NextStep Fitness where people can continue to receive the recovery they need after the coverage from insurance runs out. This March to May, He will be riding his wheelchair from Los Angeles to Washington, DC to raise awareness and funds to support the six million individuals and wounded service members living with paralysis in the US.
