The Cincinnati Reds defeated the Minnesota Twins 4-2 on Wednesday night at Great American Ball Park, despite a two-hour rain delay and a rain-shortened game that lasted just 5 1/2 innings. Nick Lodolo turned in a strong outing, pitching six innings and allowing only two runs. Spencer Steer led the offense, going 2-for-3 with a home run and a double, while Matt McLain and Will Benson chipped in with key hits. The win marks the Reds’ fourth straight victory and their fifth consecutive series win. Cincinnati will look to complete the sweep in Thursday afternoon’s finale.
