Wrapping out this podcast was very much like saying goodbye to a friend.  A lot has happened to the both of us since December of 2018, and our rants, laughs, and swearing will be a part of us for the rest of our lives.   

 

We measure our success by the sole metric that if one listener watched one movie he or she would never have normally seen, our work is complete.

Having lost our original 70-minute recording due to technical difficulties, the attempt at recapping our own episode quickly deteriorated in favor of a 40+ minute debate on whether, objectively, a movie can be “good” or “bad”.  Oh, but please watch this movie - the perfect 2-hour panacea for the ailing citizenship of the world.

“Extraction” is a technological glimpse into the future that awaits traditional summer blockbusters.  It seeks only to entertain the basest of instincts for its at-home audience.  In an unprecedented era of isolation and bleak outlooks, we find this movie’s M.O. to be just fine.  Thor minus humor plus guns equals fun.
