Another winner from my favorite author! Rekindled is a love story that started between Skye and Jax when they were in grade school. He was her brothers best friend and four years older so even though she had a crush on him for years their paths weren't destined to cross until years later.

Her parents died in a house fire that almost claimed her brother too when she was just finishing high school. In the shock and sorrow following that Dane, her brother figured the best thing for them both was to get her off and thru

college. That done she had settled into life in New York working in the financial markets of Wall Street. After 10 very successful years she realizes that this really wasn't making her happy and wasn't what she truly wanted to do. What she really wanted was to open her own bakery and catering business. Thus her return to Dallas where both Dane and Jax are firemen for the city and here begins the harrowing journey of her starting a new life, not realizing that part of her old life is following her in the form of an

First book that hooked me to Paige Tyler's books

My first book by Paige Tyler, and I am hooked, definitely!

This is kind of novella, a fast one at that, but I love it. The characters were quite developed for a novella, and I wanted more from this series. There is a kindle world of this series, but I found that I prefer ones that written by Ms. Tyler herself.

his best friend's sister

While at a fire, Jax is told there is a woman that needs saving. He rushes up to the 5th floor to find her on the floor. Once he gets her outside, he realizes it is Skye, his best friend's sister. After the fire, he goes to the hospital, and then invites her to stay with him. The firefighters later find out that the fire was arson. Dane, Skye's brother and Jax's best friend is not happy that she is staying with Jax or that there could be a relationship between them. After another fire, they start thinking that it is her ex starting the fires and looking for her. Will they find out who is starting the fires? Will Dane and Jax be able to keep her safe? Will Jax and Skye be together?

Great start

This is a great start to a new series. Ms. Tyler is such a versatile author and I enjoy all the genres she writes in. Skye and Jax have known each other since childhood. After he rescues her from a fire, defends her against her brother and helps her out with her plans they finally get to act on things only thought about when they were younger.
