In the wake of a tragic loss, a community mourns Deputy Devin Jaramillo, killed in the line of duty. A memorial grows outside the Miami-Dade Sheriffs Office substation, filled with flowers, flags, and heartfelt messages. Jaramillo, known as Taz to his former youth football coaches, was shot and killed while responding to a traffic accident. The suspect, Steven Rustrian, took his own life after an altercation. EMT student Joheli Cruz, who was on a ride-along, performed CPR in a desperate attempt to save Jaramillo. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday at ten AM at loanDepot Park.
