To live is Christ and to die is gain. Paul talks about his struggle to decide which he desires more, and what he believes the eventual outcome will be. Philippians 1:18b-26

Paul decides it is time to give an update on his circumstances, but it turns into an update on the gospel. To Paul, if the gospel is doing well then he is doing well.
