Sometimes we see a single event that completely devastates a marriage. But, more often than not, we see a cycle of bad behavior between the spouses that seems to perpetuate even more bad behavior.  Dr. Emerson Eggerich describes this as the "Crazy Cycle", in his book, Love and Respect.  

The man feels disrespected and the woman feels unloved and the more they feel that way the more they treat their partner in the negative.  She disrespects him as the man in the house so he retaliates by not being loving towards her.  She then doesn't feel loved, so she responds in a disrespectful manner towards him.  And so the cycle continues! 

This cycle can lead to total marriage devastation or just a slow rot.  Either way, it doesn't end well.  During this show, Merrill and Linda take on this crazy cycle with understands and techniques that will break the negative cycle and put you on to a path of positive reinforcement within the relationship.  You owe it to each other, your family, and most importantly, Christ, to love and respect each other well.
