The interplay of business travel and child custody. In doing child custody arrangements, we're acting in the best interest of the child. The child benefits from both parents and the availability of both parents. The court tries not to penalize the parents who work to support the family. A family could have one parent working most of the time and the other taking care of the children. The court needs to look at the availability of parents. Who is available for the children and who is not? The court will try a seamless transition towards divorce. It needs to take into account the availability of the parent. If the parent has business travel, the court will accommodate and factor this in. The court will prefer the custodial parent to be available most of the time.
