JR continues to work with Alan Beam to fool Cliff into running for Congress (and quitting the OLM) by fighting with him in public. This is catnip for Lucy who stalks Alan and asks him out. Alan sees this as his ticket to move on up to the East Side to a deluxe apartment in the sky.

Meanwhile, Cliff seems to only want to run for Congress to win back Sue Ellen. Sue Ellen who can’t let herself believe that Cliff actually cares, cause girl is doing the WORK in therapy!
