Thank you for joining us for our 2nd Cabral HouseCall of the weekend! I’m looking forward to sharing with you some of our community’s questions that have come in over the past few weeks… Let’s get started!    Kari: Hi Dr.Stephen Cabral and thank you for taking the time to answer my question today. I’m a 27 yo female living in Brisbane. Within the past year or so I have had about 3 outbreaks of scalp issues. I have had consistent patches of dandruff over this year or so that when scratched too hard often bring blood to the surface and have a burning sensation (similar reaction to when I had full body psoriasis in 2013/14) Although on these 3 occasions I have had what I believe to be sebum build up on the crown of my head. It’s waxy and I cannot get rid of it for days at a time. After blow drying my hair or air drying it’s a very noticeable build up from crown to about 2 inches down my hair. I have tried tea tree oil shampoos, prescription shampoo (clobex clobetasol propionate 500micrograms/mL), head and shoulders and Selsun Gold. It goes away after a week yet returned within 2 weeks on these 3 overall occasions.  Throughout all of this I have not tried to change my diet although I eat 70/30 clean and healthy but don’t hold myself back when I want a treat or junk food. I was diagnosed with Celiac in 2012 and I believe my gut is in fine condition, but I have never tried a cleanse.  Do you think this sebum build up is gut related? Do you have any advice for how I can get rid of the sebum waxy build up and dandruff forever? Thank you!!! Katie: I recently got some blood work done and my MCV and MCH were slightly elevated so I ran my B12 and folic acid test as well which came back normal. Should I be concerned?  Savannah: Good morning! Thanks for your wonderful podcast!  The past 10 years I have slowly been acquiring new symptoms. First started with fatigue (spent hours sleeping during the day)  Then came painful body aches  Now I have migraines & every few days some chest pains(my chest has been X-rayed & no heart problems) Eczema also. Chronic UTIs Chronic strep throat (getting my tonsils out soon)  Constipation.  Irregular mens cycle  I am so tired and often in pain. I suffer from anxiety, depression & OCD. I always feel “on edge” & moody(not my personality). I have a lot of symptoms and don’t know where to start. I can’t afford hundreds of dollars worth of lab tests. If I could choose one which should I take? Thank you, hope I can find a place to start- feeling overwhelmed! Sinjin: Good morning Dr. Cabral, I am looking to further my education upon completion of IHP L2. I have lots of books lined up to read that are all geared towards the 7 branches of IHP, but seeking for hands on experience working under someone through either an internship or finding a mentor that can teach in person. In your opinion, off the top of your head, who/what/where would be your best recommendation for IHP’s to go and experience once becoming certified? I would love to be able to say I am mostly interested in just one healing method covered, but I truly enjoy them all. From personally putting to practice what the natural hygienists have taught, to learning how to read FM labs. I haven’t dove much into Hypnosis other than I have been listening to Psycho-Cybernetics while I sleep to see what happens. I would love to visit outside the US or HI to intern and learn but, I don’t know where to start! If you don’t mind could you give a few recommendations to myself and others out there seeking more experience as well as cultural submersion that will give us more skills to serve others. Thank you! Last time I wrote in was in the 500 episode, congrats on breaking the 1k! Lots of inspiration and guidance you and the team have provided along the way! Gracias! Claudio:  appreciate all of the knowledge you share, and it’s great that you offer it free to the public. I recently completed the CBO protocol and I’m doing the CBO finisher now from equilibrium nutrition. This has completely healed my severe case of psoriasis, and has improved my digestion! However, my question is for my Father. He had a colonoscopy about 5 years ago. His doctor removed some polyps and found he had diverticulitis in his colon. Since then, he has tried to stay on a low fiber diet, avoid anything with seeds, and tried to avoid high lectin foods. For the past couple months he has been trying to eat healthier and incorporate more veggies into his diet. He recently completed the 21 day Dr. Cabral detox and felt great. However, he was constipated during the last week of the detox. He was eating a lot of dark leafy greens during this time. He decided to cut out the greens, in hopes of resolving his constipation issue. He continued a diet full of veggies, legumes, fish, poultry, and fruit smoothies (with berries).  Upon completing the detox, he started the foundational protocol level 2, along with the activated b complex from equilibrium nutrition. The doctor said he could still have diverticulitis throughout his intestines. His mother had the same issue. He has suffered from constipation on and off throughout his life. Do you have any advice for his recovery? Also, do you think leaky gut and diverticulitis are related? Once his final surgery is complete, would starting the CBO protocol and sealing up his gut wall help to get rid of the diverticulitis and prevent perforation formation in the future? Any advice would help. I tried searching for diverticulitis on your podcast and found a brief mention on a house call.
