In 2019, country singer Granger Smith lost his 3-year-old son River in a tragic drowning accident. Over the last few years, he has truly relied on his faith in the Lord to carry him through the grief he and his wife have had to embrace. He is also the star of a new PureFlix movie, "Moonrise," in which he portrays a widowed country singer processing his own sorrow as he raises his daughter, who just lost her mother. Smith said his real-life experiences informed his ability to play his character in an authentic way.
