The Kirtland Temple has been described as a preparatory temple. It’s interior structure and function differ than the temples we build today. First I’ll talk about the structural differences, then I’ll discuss what it means to be willing to take the Lord’s name upon us, and I’ll finish with a spark about the heavenly visitations that happened at Kirtland and what that can tell us about the overall Plan of Salvation.
