In this passage, Paul speaks to Christian slaves, a situation far removed from our modern experience. While we can’t fully relate to their circumstances, we can still learn from the principles he gives. This text challenges us to examine our attitude and effort in the way we serve, both in our workplaces and in how we respond to those in authority over us.

Big Idea: Christians are to serve those in authority with honor so that God’s name is exalted and fellow believers are blessed.
