In this episode, I'm going into what happens to our sense of self after divorce, breakup, or emotional and narcissistic abuse. These things can really affect how you feel about yourself. They can make you feel confused and unsure of who you really are.
People around you can also change the way you think about yourself. They might want you to be a certain way, and that can make you act like someone you're not. This makes it hard to know who you truly are. It's like putting on layers of different ideas that cover up your true self!
Peeling away these layers is important because some of the things we do are because of what others expect, not because they're really who we are. You can find your real self by asking questions and thinking about where those beliefs come from. This helps you see the difference between doing things for YOU and doing things for others.
Trying new things and expressing yourself is key to finding your true self again. It helps you uncover parts of you that got hidden because of what others wanted
Getting back to who you truly are means being kind to yourself and knowing it takes practice. You can begin this practice with the De-Conditioning workbook that is totally FREE to you!
