Sin... dun dun dun!

Listen Later

All things sin? Scary! Haha, not here! Today we have a light hearted conversation on what sin is and what it truly means and looks like to stray from Gods intent for our lives. In my opinion, the most important part of this episode is discussing what to do when you sin. Don't run towards the hills and do 50 "good" things (salvation is not point system) come back to God, learn, and grow. All of that will be more towards the end of the episode. Thanks for joining!

Like to get saved? Recite the prayer below or with me at the end of the podcast!

“Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Jesus name I pray and believe, amen.”

Congratulations! You just made the best decision of your life! I am more than happy for you! Remember the prayer above is there for guidance if you don’t know what to say. The best prayer you can pray is the most honest prayer you can pray. You can pray wherever however, eyes open or closed - just be open. Tell God anything! He/She/They is excited to hear from you! She loves you dearly, you are His beloved. They have a plan for your life and are happy to hear from you!

Here are a few steps to follow from this point:

  1. Tell someone! Community is vital!
  2. Pray! As often as you’d like, daily would be best. Doesn’t matter how long just pour out your heart to God. Listen to the Spirit speak back to you.
  3. Buy a Bible or get the app. There are plenty of Bible plans out there - find one that interests you.
  4. Find a church near you or online. (Ask God to show you one that would work best for you!)
  5. Grow your relationship with God! This comes through drawing close to God and allowing He/She/They to guide you. If you’re having a hard time SAY THAT! God already knows what you’re thinking - She loves you and wants to help you!
  6. "What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun!" (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Thank you for listening! God bless!
