September 12, 2024 ~ The Tigers are in a playoff race. Detroit is currently three games out of the final wild card spot with 16 games left to play. Anthony and Ryan look at the standings and the schedule and see how the Tigers can stay in the race and possibly make the playoffs. Then John Wagner joins the show to discuss college football and his Super 16 poll.

September 12, 2024 ~ The Tigers keep on winning! Detroit has won five of their last six games and still sit three games back from the final wildcard spot. Anthony and Ryan are enjoying the ride the Tigers are providing and explain the deal Kirk Gibson and Jason Benetti are offering for Thursdays game with Tarik Skubal on the mound. Larry Lage (AP News) joins the show to discuss the Michigan Wolverines after their loss to Texas and dive into the Detroit Lions after beating the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday Night Football in week one.

September 11, 2024 ~ After week two of the college football season, Michigan State stands at 2-0 after a road win versus Maryland and Michigan stands at 1-1 after a home loss to #3 Texas. Anthony wants to know if expectations of each fan base has changed. Then Logan Lamorandier of “Lions on SI” joined to show to recap the Lions week one victory over the Los Angeles Rams. Lamorandier shares what he thought the positives were from the Lions, where the Lions looked sluggish and why in the NFL a win is a win despite how the team looked in the game.

September 11, 2024 ~ Ryan had some streaming issues last night when trying to watch the Tigers but that has been the tip of the iceberg when it comes to his streaming woes this past week while trying to stream sporting events this past two weeks. Ryan shares his frustration with both cable and streaming services when it comes to the product customers are paying for versus the product we are receiving. Then former Michigan Wolverine Chris Wormley joins the show to talk about the game day experience in Ann Arbor this past Saturday when Michigan took on #3 Texas. Then Wormley dives into what is next for Michigan and how the Wolverines can bounce back from their first regular season loss since 2021.

September 11, 2024 ~ The Detroit Tigers shutout the Colorado Rockies 11-0 behind an outstanding performance from rookie pitcher Keider Montero who had a “Maddux shutout” which includes facing the minimum amount of batters (27), and having under 100 pitches (96). Anthony and Ryan then dive into the MLB scoreboard and the wildcard standings and even though the Tigers won last night so did all the teams ahead of them in the playoff standings. With NFL week one officially in the books, Anthony sees a trend from the opening week where for the first time in years passing numbers across the league were down. Anthony shares his theory as to why this happened.

September 10, 2024 ~ FOOTBALL IS OFFCIALLY BACK!!! Anthony and Ryan go through the college football and NFL scoreboard and share a few thoughts on each game that happened over the weekend. Anthony and Ryan also take a minute to reflect on the passing of Actor James Earl Jones. Jones known for his work with “Field of Dreams”, “The Sandlot” and “Star Wars” holds a special place in many peoples’ hearts with his acting roles but as a University of Michigan graduate, his local ties and voice over of the Michigan Football entrance video makes the passing a little more somber.

September 10, 2024 ~ With the Lions being on the short list for Super Bowl favorites, Fredi calls in to try to make the point to Anthony that the Lions need to win one to avoid falling into being the New York Jets or Buffalo Bills. Then the Coach Kyle Barlow (Ohio Men’s Basketball Assistant Coach) calls in to recap the college football weekend, how big Michigan State’s win was over Maryland and the difference on the field between Texas and Michigan. Then Coach Barlow basks in the Lions win and how fun it was to see the social media clips after the game and early Monday morning.

September 10, 2024 ~ Anthony and Ryan start the show recapping the Monday Night Football game between the New York Jets and the San Francisco 49ers. Then Ryan wonders if Lions fans still root against Jets QB Aaron Rodgers after all the years with the division rival Green Bay. Then Michigan State Head Football Coach Jonathan Smith joins the show to discuss MSU’s 27-24 road victory over Maryland over the weekend and the breakout game from Freshman WR Nick Marsh. Finally, Anthony was able to get on his soapbox about the NFL overtime rules and how much he loves how the league has set up overtime in the regular season.

September 9, 2024 ~ Michigan hosted #3 Texas on Saturday and the game went as expected with Texas handling Michigan 31-12. Anthony tries to calm the storm of the hate coming in for Michigan, but Ryan stirs the pot a little wondering how Michigan’s quarterback situation got this way in the transfer portal era. Then Anthony talks about the Ford Field atmosphere last night and overall the Lions win.
