Stick to Sports podcast: Chris Olave’s return and other good news from this week

Land-Grant Holy Land’s newest podcast series, Stick to Sports, will be unlike any podcast you’ve heard on the Ohio State beat. Your hosts, Tia Johnston and Matt Tamanini, will (of course) talk Ohio State football, but the primary focus of the show will be on what’s going on around the periphery, such as weird/funny happenings in college football and the sports world at large, as well as other things that keep us interested in between games, whether that’s pop culture, social media trends— you name it.

Tia and Matt begin this week’s episode discussing Ohio State’s departures, why Shaun Wade could have benefitted from one more year playing college ball (but also...go get paid, Wade) and — the best news of the week— Chris Olave’s decision to return and why we believe he has some unfinished business to attend to. In light of the Olave news, we decided to keep the good news going by reading off some of our favorite news stories from the week thus far.

On the second half of the show, we shake things up by asking each other silly ice breaker/job interview questions. We tell each other which fictional character we’d like to be, which actor we’d want to play us in a movie about our lives, what we’d do with six months of financial and total freedom, and who is in our “Foundational Five.”
