Universities are reportedly cutting corners to stay afloat, and some people have raised alarm bells on the quality of education for new students wanting to enrol next year.

Also, one of Australia's biggest proposed gas projects, in Narrabri in NSW, has today been given the green light. We look at why some community members are happy with the decision, and others are disappointed.

And, the US held its first Presidential debate ahead of November's election. While it sounded a bit like an argument at an aged care home, there were some important policy points discussed.
