When I was pregnant with my now 22-year-old son, my OBGYN insisted that I start drinking water after I confessed to him that I subsisted almost entirely on a diet of candy and soda. I left his office feeling sentenced that day, thinking that I could never possibly drink ONLY water for the remaining months of my pregnancy, as it had no flavor.
