#033- Close to half of today’s Veterans are 65 and older.
If you're caring for an aging Veteran, you may have many questions but not know where to start. Once you do get started, you might not know HOW TO ACTUALLY HAVE a conversation with your loved one about their military service.
Maybe you're afraid of saying the wrong thing, pushing too hard, or maybe you're afraid that starting this conversation will open pandora's box of memories.
For more than 10 years, I worked with older Veterans and their families in VA medical and mental health clinics and I have witnessed many families struggle to have conversations about the older Veteran's military experiences.
So, on this Veteran's Day, I want to give the gift of a healthy conversation and connection between you and your older Veterans by sharing expert tips on talking with older veterans about their military experiences.
