Uk: У густому потоці людей, які поспішали на роботу вранці на станції метро "Золоті Ворота", стояли троє друзів.
En: In the thick flow of people hurrying to work in the morning at the Zoloti Vorota metro station, stood three friends.

Uk: Оксана, Богдан та Юлія разом планували поїздку на день до Карпат.
En: Oksana, Bohdan, and Yulia were planning a day trip together to the Karpaty.

Uk: Була зима, і Київ зустрічав Новий Рік за православним календарем.
En: It was winter, and Kyiv was celebrating the New Year according to the Orthodox calendar.
