SU's Brown and Church Carillon: Questions tower over campus

Every hour, on the hour, tolling bells atop the Patricia R. Guerrieri Academic Commons resound across Salisbury University's lawns.

But students don't know much about the campus centerpiece.

Sea Gulls like third-year students Brian Bowers and Kate Donaldson pass the Brown and Church Carillon with burning questions every day.

SU's resident carillonneur William Folger, director of chorale studies, gives insight on the $2.4 million instrument, one of under 200 remaining in the United States and the only traditional bell tower on a Maryland campus.
