It helps us rely on our knowledge and expertise; we tap into our resources and the reasons for our seniority 3. It helps us to feel valued and appreciated and accepted. 4. We feel the need to help the person in front of us right away! They need help NOW! There is no time to ask questions. 5. Giving advise keeps us in control of the conversation. 6.
