Mariel Diaz comes from a family of jewelers and worked on both the craft and sales sides, as well as tackled the accounting. While she didn’t set out to start an accounting practice, she now has a virtual firm that focuses exclusively on jewelers, with a client base of small independent designers, makers and wholesalers as well as some franchises. They partner with jewelry businesses throughout the U.S. for bookkeeping, compliance and advisory work. Mariel oversees service operations, creates courses and applications, develops and implements the company’s long-term initiatives to sustain the jewelry industry, and works directly with clients for advisory services.
