The Afternoon Show 06-22-22

(00:00-12:00) On today’s Afternoon Show, the word of the day is “valuable”. How valuable is Matisse Thybulle and/or the Sixers draft pick.  Rumors are that the Sixers are going to offer PJ Tucker a deal but because of money it would have to be a sign and trade that would include Thybulle.  Joel Embiid wants Tucker here and Tyrone believes he is a better player than Thybulle even at the age of 37.  Jen is off today so it is just Tyrone and Tom.  Tom gives his thoughts.  It is 10-Second Song Wednesday.  You have a chance to win a $50 cash card.  The old school/new school topic of the day is sitcoms and movies. 

(12:02-1:16:33) Tom introduces today’s Twitter poll.  Are you comfortable signing 37 year old PJ Tucker to a reported 3 year $30 million deal? Your options are Yes-Makes Team Better and No-Too Old Too Much Money.  The early leader is no, he’s too old.  Ty and Tom give their thoughts then Tyrone heads to the phones.  He gives some easy layups with the 10-second songs but for some reason the callers don’t start off too strong.  It takes seven callers to get the first qualifier.

(1:16:36-1:24:12) Tom fills in for Jen and dives into some interesting stories outside the world of sports on “What’s Trending with Tom” to include a 6K bees being removed from a couples house and a group of teenagers in Florida breaking into a mansion, throwing a party, stealing items and filming it all.
