This week, we're joined by two of Austin's most awesome women riders — Kat Hunter and Kirstin Hammersley — for a conversation about what it's like to be a woman in mountain biking, and what it's going to take to bring more women and girls into the sport.

Kat made the jump from road racing to mountain biking after getting fed up with the very real dangers of riding on pavement — and she hasn't looked back. Kirstin coaches riders of all levels and is deeply invested in building a bigger, more welcoming MTB community in Austin and beyond.

Between them, they're involved in NICA, Crank and Drank, Ruthless Racing (which evolved directly from Crank and Drank), and pretty much anything that gets people, especially females, on bikes.

The Ageless Mountain Biker podcast is all about keeping the stoke as we get older as mountain bikers. We talk about gear, racing, setup, events, bike trips, epic trails, and just good times riding with friends in the woods.
