The Avalanche Hour Podcast - Episode 5.8 Dave Richards

Dave Richards runs the avalanche office at Alta Ski Area in Little Cottonwood Canyon of Northern Utah. His father was a ski patroller at Alta. He grew up there and has a deep sense of connection to the place. He shares some of the collective wisdom that has been cultivated in the snow and avalanche community of LCC since the 1930’s. Dave talks about tools in the toolbox for managing the avalanche hazard at the ski area as he gives a glimpse into a storm morning in LCC. I think this is probably a must listen for any ski patroller out there. You’ll like it….
