Walking is one of the most underrated forms of exercises there is. I had the same misconception that I'm sure students do and that's, oh, it's mainly for older people, it's too slow and you have to really push yourself and sweat and get beaten down for you to see any benefits. I was shocked when I started doing it regularly and what was happening with me and my body. I was burning calories, I was building muscle, and I was getting pretty much the same benefits that I was getting when I was in college and lifting hard and doing high intensity interval training.
