When we walk with Christ, there is a daily battle to fight the temptations of the enemy. For in God’s word it says, “Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” I too, have to challenge my mind daily, in order to fight the battle.

Our daily battle shouldn’t be looked upon as a burden or a failure on our part. Temptations still come even though we have been saved from the grip of sin by Jesus Christ.  But we must be wise to eliminate things in our lives that make our situation difficult. There are books, friends, TV shows, movies and music that can cause us to stumble. We should avoid them, shouldn’t we?

Battle daily for the upper ground against the enemy’s schemes and encourage your friends to do likewise. Take on the battle together and act out this Bible verse, “Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” And you know, it’s in the mind that the battle is fought.  And by the reading of the word of God, and by the power of the Holy Spirit we can overcome the temptations that come through our mind into our will.  Jesus gives us victory.
