Former Treasurer and Federal Education Minister John Dawkins is facing legal action over his role in the collapse of private education provider Vocation. The corporate watchdog is bringing civil charges with the allegations centering around a failure to disclose the withdrawal of taxpayer funds to investors. Mr Dawkins says he will be vigorously defending the accusations.

Once valued at hundreds of millions of dollars the collapse of Vocation last year left thousands of student in limbo.
