Don’t love the (Digital) world’s ways. Don’t love the (Digital) world’s goods. Love of (Technology) squeezes out love for the Father. Practically everything that goes on in the (Digital) world—wanting your own way, wanting everything for yourself, wanting to appear important (on Facebook, Twitter or Linked In) —has nothing to do with the Father. It just isolates you from Him. The world and all its wanting, wanting, wanting is on the way out—but whoever does what God wants is set for eternity. 1 John 2:15 from The Message with a few added words for effect from yours truly. Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out from life in the digital world? Does this idea of living freely and lightly sound to good to be true? I’m curious to know what happens when you head out the door for school or work and you forget your phone. Do you turn around to get it? Are you easily irritable when your email is not working? How do you respond when you can’t connect to your Wifi? Is your laptop/tablet rendered useless at that point?
