The world rallied around Ukrainians suffering at the hands of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. While countless people are trying to flee Ukraine for safety, many black people are help at borders and refused entry into neighbouring countries, such as Poland. Many black people are denied assistance and refused entry onto trains.
While this is going on, major western media outfits are reporting on the war with overt racism.
This begs the question - Should black people be in solidarity with Ukrainians while Ukrainians are being overtly and dangerously racist towards black people stuck in Ukraine.
My guest Athi-nangamso Nkopo joins me to discuss this.
