This week I sat down with Thea Mistry - owner of Amma Yoga, a warm & welcoming yoga studio in Kitchener.
Community: If you're a Mom who needs to get out of the house and with other local mamas this is the place for you.
Down to earth vibe: I'm not a parent, but I loved the vibe at Amma right away - it was the down to earth, welcoming atmosphere. I didn't feel like I had to show up in LuLu Lemon gear - I could just be myself.
Thea Mistry is the founder and owner of Amma Yoga, mama of two, a yoga instructor and birth doula.
Their family-focused programming includes Prenatal, Mom & Baby, Moms & Movers, Tots, Kids & Family Yoga, as well as a monthly mama group and Fertility Support Group, and childcare in their play-space. Amma is the perfect place to connect with other local mamas for support and build friendships that last.
I took a class at Amma in the fall and I loved that the instructor offered a variety of options for levels of intensity - it makes it so much more accessible if you struggle with chronic pain or fatigue. Whether you have an established movement practice, are a total yoga newbie, or are getting back to it after a long hiatus, there is something for you at Amma yoga.
Make yourself at home, make a new friend, catch your breath, enjoy moving your body, and connect with a community of support. Drop in classes available - the perfect way to see if it's the right fit for you.
