That was a very strange football game.

The South Carolina Gamecocks looked like a toddler trying to eat fettuccini for the first half of football against the Tennessee Volunteers. Then, without much warning, they suddenly turned into a team capable of playing both offense and defense with some degree of competence. Down 21-9, with barely a glimmer of hope on offense and no ability to stop Jarrett Guarantano on third down, the Cocks mounted two lightning fast scoring drives (made possible by some great play from Deebo Samuel, Rico Dowdle, and Ty'Son Williams, as well as an absolute missle of a pass from Jake Bentley to Bryan Edwards), to pull even at 24 points apiece. Then, the defense decided to join in on the fun, holding the Vols scoreless for the remainder of the game. Ultimately, a Parker White field goal put Carolina on top, 27-24, completing a very weird comeback that keeps the Gamecocks alive for the postseason. The team travels to Oxford this weekend to face off against the Ole Miss Rebels in a brunch-time kickoff over on SEC Network.

In this week's podcast, we doll out our traditional winners and losers (looking at you, Baylor Bears), as well as some new contenders (coach fights, fart noises, Willie Taggart's Hot Seat). We also discuss the Gamecocks first trip to The Grove in nearly a decade, providing our expert insight into the matchup (hint: we think that scoring more than them is good), and how weird it must be to play a football game before Noon. We also give our thoughts on uniform combos, lose DC3 to a technical difficulty, find him again, and lose him again just before fielding your Twitter questions.

We hope you all enjoy listening as much as we do recording. Go Cocks!
