That misnomer is something filmmaker Jeff Hays sets out to dispute in his recent film, Undoctored: The Hidden Story Behind the AMA's Plot to Destroy Chiropractic. Hays joins Dr. Friedman to explain that chiropractic care isn't just about temporarily relieving pain. Its goal is for you to live life optimally, which is the lasting message of the film. The film follows a number of individuals who have benefited from chiropractic care, from small children to professional athletes and politicians.  Hays does caution, however, that not every doctor in the chiropractic field is skilled to treat you. Just as you wouldn't pick any old doctor or dentist out of the phone book, you must find a professional who is right for you.
