In this episode of Coffee with the Superintendent, we open God’s Word to 1 Samuel 16:1–13 and see how the Lord rejected Saul and chose David, a humble shepherd, to be Israel’s next king. Together we’ll reflect on what it means that God looks not at outward appearance but at the heart, and how this points us forward to Christ, the true Shepherd-King. Then in our Second Pour, we celebrate birthdays for Nathaniel Peek (alumni), Kai, Michael, Payton, Lia, Erianna, and Kaleia, enjoy chicken sandwiches for lunch, and cheer on our Ladies Golf, Boys Soccer, and Volleyball teams as they compete today.
