I stayed up reading this until midnight. Reisner's vocabulary is gorgeous, and the subject matter is fresh and interesting--how many people have any real knowledge about football in Southern Idaho during the Vietnam era? This book is significant, and filled with interesting one-liners and historical information. I would be eager to see anything Reisner writes after this.

This engaging story of college football is obviously written by a man who lived and breathed the sport. His characters are real and his dialog really grabs and holds your attention. I recommend it strongly to anyone who loves action in a football setting!

I enjoyed reading this book

I enjoyed reading this book. It has interesting character development and the location is in a small town in Idaho. Nice that Mel would bring the story to the places he knows. Good job, I would recommend this book to anyone.
