I have been reading a lot of historical novels about south Florida and this book is almost like a continuation of one of the parts of those books. it is really a great read with life lessons thrown in.
Lion's Paw 2 is a must read!
Wow! Lion's Paw 2 took me back to a place I remember. I could not put it down, and I have to admit, I read it in one sitting. The detail to which the author gave in not only geography but in time is impressive. I only wish the story would have been longer.
Great book, especially for children.
This book was recommended to me by a friend and I thought I'd give it a read. Best decision I could've made. It runs through quite a few emotions as you follow along as Paul, Kate, and Ben go on their treasure hunt. He works in a bit of Florida history, and although history was my least favorite subject in school I really enjoyed the references. I plan on reading it again with my boyfriend's 6-year-old (We're already on Chapter 2). This adventure is worth the read!
Wonderful adventure and travel novel for young readers and readers of all ages
I just finished reading The Lion's Paw 2 and enjoyed the journey entirely. Set mainly in Florida and North Carolina, the topograpgy is stunning. The young characters are relatable and the storyline has a depth of engagement between the back story, the treasure hunt, and the ever present adventures that holds readers' interests. I highly recommend this book for middle school students and for all readers.
