Gary Van Dyke founder and CEO of Food for Orphans began helping orphans in 1999. In that year Gary visited a large children's charity in Lima, Peru and was touched by their helplessness and innocence. He later visited more orphanages all over the world and became more and more motivated with his compassion to help the children in need. He knew he could not stand immobile while orphans starved. Presently, Food for Orphans feeds 8 million meals in 16 countries. Gary and Carol will delve into the psychology of the orphan. How is an orphan affected physically, spiritually or emotionally? What has an orphan learned about life, its struggles and how to have the best survival tools! Many of the orphans that have been fed by Food for Orphans coach new coming orphans and give them comfort and support. There is so much to learn from this show! Gary's compassion and humanitarian outlook to orphans are monumental!
