The leaders of the top two heel stables of New Japan, Bullet Club's Omega and Los Ingobernables de Japon's Naito, collided in the block decider for the 2016 G1 Climax and they went out of their way to tear the house down. The first of many five-star matches for both individuals, the changing fortunes of both Naito and Omega are charted both in their backstory and in the match itself.
