When I look at a billionaire—untethered by elections, unchecked by public accountability—wielding his wealth like a weapon, I am reminded of the biblical story of David and Goliath. Goliath, a giant clad in armor, struck fear into the hearts of an entire army. He was a symbol of unchecked power, a force that seemed invincible. But David, a young shepherd armed with nothing but a sling and a stone, moved without fear. He understood that one well-aimed stone could change the course of history. And it did.
Today, we face our own Goliaths. Billionaires who place fear in people, dismantle systems, uproot livelihoods, and reshape society without ever being voted into office. They operate above the law, beyond reproach, and with a sense of entitlement that borders on tyranny. They are the modern giants, and their power seems insurmountable. But like David, we must remember: one stone can change everything.
The Great Divide: A House Divided Against Itself
America is fractured. We are divided by race, religion, sexual orientation, political party preferences, and a host of other manufactured divisions. These divisions are not accidents; they are tools used to keep us distracted, disorganized, and disempowered. While we argue over trivialities, the real power brokers—the modern Goliaths—continue to consolidate their wealth and influence.
But here’s the truth: our power lies in our unity. When we come together as a people—not as Democrats or Republicans, not as Black or White, not as rich or poor—but as Americans, we hold a power that no billionaire, no corporation, and no corrupt system can withstand. The question is not whether we have the power to unite; the question is whether we have the courage to use it.
Washington’s Reset: A Mirror for America
Washington, D.C., has been riddled with corruption for decades. This is not news. But what is new is the universe’s timing. There is a cosmic realignment happening—a correction, if you will. The chaos we see in our government, the upheaval in our systems, and the discomfort we feel are all part of a larger recalibration.
Yes, it was time to address the corruption. Yes, it was time to reform taxation, the criminal legal system, and the outsourcing of American jobs. But let’s be clear: discomfort is the price of progress. Just as Washington is undergoing a reset, so too must we, the people, undergo our own transformation.
