In the initial stages of His Kingdom, Jesus was not interested in gathering as many people as possible to follow Him.  Gathering a multitude was an easy task because of His miraculous power.  But forming a band of faithful men who understood what His Kingdom mission was about—that was a different matter!  The parables would reveal those who had responsive hearts to the things of God. Jesus said, “Whoever has, to him shall more be given.” In other words, those who responded to His parables with a good heart would be given more information, insight, and blessings of the Kingdom. Whoever has, to him shall more be given.
