For nearly 40 years, people would see a billboard on Route 16 near Fayetteville, West Virginia with grainy pictures of five children. Their eyes looked off this billboard, and into a person’s soul. Their story started on Christmas in 1945 when the family went to bed, and woke up in fiery blaze. The official story is that these children died in the blaze that day…but did they?
