The Not My Dad Bodcast

I am so excited to be back on a Bodcast with Ian and Steve of The Talking Dads. Every time we get together we have a blast talking about anything and everything and this episode was no exception. Of course, we talk fitness and fatherhood and even try a surprise bottle of scotch I brought for the boys. Ian, Steve, and I discuss Ian's fitness transformation and challenges. We also talk about how being a Dad of three has its own challenges for Steve. There is so much to unwrap in this episode you just have to listen! I also dust off the "On The Spot" questions which leads to some incredible dialogue and a ton of laughs.

Read a pretty interesting article from Inside Hook the other day by Tanner Garrity called, "100 Ways to Live to 100: A Definitive Guide to Longevity Fitness." Now, I told my wife and kids that one item on my bucket list is to do 100 push-ups on my 100th birthday, so needless to say this article intrigued me. In this Bodcast, I discuss the article, along with some of the evidence behind the claims, and offer my observations, opinions, and some anecdotes of my own.
I also discuss my exit from the Legendary Dad Bod Contest, a birthday and anniversary, as well as November being Manatee Awareness Month

My second Ambush Bodcast and it just made sense to complete the set and go with the other member of the dynamic duo of the Talking Dads, Ian Lewis. After a couple of technical difficulties, we got rolling and talked about The Dads' latest episode #107, which dealt with the mental health side of parenting. We addressed the 3 pillars of Not My Dad Bod: Family, Fitness, and the Grind. I got Ian's take on how he is Being Something Better and Doing Cool Shit, as well. This Ambush went longer than I had planned, but it was a great time.

That's right, I am back, baby! I could not stay away from the Pod Life. Easing back into this stuff with a solo podcast that discusses a bunch of stuff. I talk COVID, breathing and free diving, Intermittent Fasting, and whatever else comes to mind. Also, I have been entered into the "Legendary Dad Bod Contest" from Men's Journal. So, VOTE FOR ME!!

Been off for a bit but felt the itch to do a little podcasting, so here it is. Since the last few months have been a little slow on news and events, Ep. 20 is just me talking your ear off about The ‘VID, social media, falling off the training wagon in Pudgy Town, being a better human, 2021 goals, and the circus that is the 2020 election. Plus, I use more sounds effects! Enjoy!!

Very happy to have Mark Smith on the Bodcast for this episode. Mark is a fitness professional but more importantly, a Dad who instills the values of fitness and training onto his two boys. This is a family tradition that started with his own father and we talk in great detail about how important that was for making Mark the man and father he is today, and how he wants to pass those lessons and traditions down to his boys. We talk bourbon (of course) and sprinkle in wrestling (the real kind) into the conversation (one of my favorite sports). Mark has a ton of great wisdom to share and much like the other guests of the Bodcast, there is always something to take away to help your Dad game.
