MPs from across the party lines are happy with having their pay frozen.
Speaking with Mike Hosking for their weekly catch up, National MP Mark Mitchell and Labour Minister Stuart Nash are both happy to with the Government's announcement to halt their pay increases.
The move is to bring MP pay more in line with the public sector, and to not see large increases while pay negotiations with the public sector are continuing.
Mitchell suggests that MPs pay should be set at the beginning of the parliamentary term.
Nash agrees with Mitchell, and says that the current method of increasing pay does not worked.
