In this Money Sex Power episode, you will be introduced to the Poor Little White Girl disorder.

This is a term I coined to describe how white women fail to show up as economic allies for Black women, instead choosing to play victim with the intent to protect their status within the white patriarchal system they claim to hate.

The Poor Little White Girl disorder lives within all white women - from all socioeconomic backgrounds. A few of the associated symptoms with this disorder include a debilitating scarcity mindset, manipulating others to get their financial needs met, and lying about being poor so they don’t have to take ownership of the economic abuse wielded against Black and Brown folks.

In this episode, I chat with Beka L. - a white woman - to talk about the Poor Little White Girl disorder that lives within her. Beka is a Catrice Jackson student and a member of the Money Makers - the paid membership for Money & Mimosas.  Let’s listen to Beka as she describes her journey of dismantling the racism, anti-Blackness, and the Poor Little White Girl disorder within her.

If you are a white woman, be sure to listen through to the end to hear the three journal prompts. White women - you are welcome to compensate me for my labor by sending a payment to my Venmo @DanethaDoe and/or by joining Money Makers.
